The governing body made the decision to develop its own awards after years of connecting its brand with the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards given by the French publication France Football. The most desired annual global football honours are considered to be the Ballon d’Or, FIFA The Best awards, and Globe Soccer awards. There are a total of 10 award categories, including the men’s and women’s FIFPro World 11 all-star teams.
Choosing the FIFA The Best men’s awards was based on performances between August 2021 and December 2022 to incorporate the FIFA men’s World Cup which was completed in December. Voting for the women’s awards considered events from August 2021 to July 2022, including the Copa America 2022 and Euro 2022 games from the previous summer.

FIFA Coach of the Year (Men)-Lionel Scaloni
Finalists:
- Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid)

Because of this, it is not difficult to see Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni raising this trophy. It will following his team’s victory in the FIFA World Cup. The magnitude of leading a team to a nearly unheard-of undefeated streak (36 games) and a global championship seems to dwarf Carlo Ancelotti’s victories in the La Liga and UEFA Champions League double and Pep Guardiola’s Premier League triumph and run to the Champions League semifinals.
FIFA Coach of the Year (Women)- Sarina Wiegman

- Sonia Bompastor (Lyon)
- Pia Sundhage (Brazil)
