This brought the young talent, Nehal Wadhera, to the crease at a precarious number six. With his team in dire straits, Wadhera displayed maturity. He understood the situation perfectly, adopting a cautious approach initially to steady the innings.

But this didn’t mean shying away from taking risks. Wadhera cleverly picked his spots, finding the boundary when needed to keep the scoreboard ticking. His knock of 46 runs, the highest for MI, became the cornerstone of their fightback, propelling them to a more respectable total of 144 for 7 wickets.

The second innings of the match saw a fascinating battle unfold between captains. Hardik Pandya, leading the bowling attack for his team, found himself coming face-to-face with KL Rahul, the opposition skipper, during the 8th over. Rahul, looking fresh as he scored 28 runs, looked poised to steer his team towards an effortless chase.

However, Pandya, bowling with impressive control, managed to snag the crucial wicket of his counterpart.

Marcus Superman Stoinis with another muscling show

His knock of 62 runs came off just 45 balls, showcasing his ability to accelerate the scoring rate. Stoinis’ innings was peppered with seven boundaries and two sixes, effectively dismantling the bowling attack of MI and propelling LSG towards a comfortable win.
