GT Player Rating vs MI: Sudharsan-Gill shine, Siraj makes comeback & Prasidh Krishna stands out

Gujarat Titans (GT) have claimed their first win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The Shubman Gill-led side has beaten the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Going against each other since 2022, MI hasn’t been able to beat GT in Ahmedabad, and the winless streak will continue until the next season begins.

GT Player Rating vs MI

Sai Sudharsan, 10/10: Given the pitch wasn’t easy to bat on, to score 63 (41) was incredible. Sai was in the middle until the 18th over and made sure that others could bat freely around him.

Shubman Gill, 8/10: The GT captain slowed down after the powerplay but still managed to score 38 (27). Gill made sure the powerplay was properly capitalised. 32 (18) in the first six overs.

Mohammed Siraj, 8/10: Good comeback for Siraj. He got two wickets in the powerplay, and from there, MI didn’t recover. Went for a few runs in the end, but overall a good performance.

Prasidh Krishna, 10/10: Brought on in the 12th over, Prasidh bowled four overs on the trot. He got the two best MI batters, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, out. He gave away just 18 runs despite bowling 2 overs in the death.

Jos Buttler, 9/10: To make sure they don’t lose out on the momentum, Buttler came out swinging. 39 (24) is a gem of a knock. One doubted if Buttler would succeed at number three, but the Englishman has done well.

Shahrukh Khan, 2/10: Another disappointing knock, 9 (7), from the all-rounder who was retained.

Sherfane Rutherford, 8/10: Whacked a couple of sixes and then departed. 19 (11) is exactly what GT needed.

Rashid Khan, 6/10: The leg spinner bowled just 2 overs as the pacers took control of the match.

Kagiso Rabada, 4/10: Did get one wicket but was smashed for 42 runs. Rabada always goes for runs but also gets wickets. Today he didn’t take wickets.

R Sai Kishore, 5/10: MI batters attacked the spinner, who was GT’s best bowler against Punjab Kings. Still, he went for fewer runs than Rabada, 37. Kishore got one wicket as well.

Ishant Sharma, 3/10: The veteran bowled one great over, 2 runs. And then one bad one, 15 runs.
