KONAMI’s eFootball™ Independence Day Cup: Registrations, Format, Schedule, and More

KONAMI Digital Entertainment has announced their India campaign along with its first major tournament which is the Independence Day Cup, it will be a mobile eFootball™ tournament for Indian players. It is set to start on the 22nd of August and end on the 28th of August 2025. The registrations for the open-to-all tournament are already live. It will be played in Authentic Mode only, which means players will use real-life clubs with their actual squads as they exist in the game.

This tournament is part of a big campaign running from August to October, which will have two major competitions, special in-game content, and exciting rewards. In this article, we will cover complete details of the Independence Day Cup, including the format, registration, prize, and more.

KONAMI’s eFootball™ Independence Day Cup: Complete Format

The tournament will be held in a knockout format, which makes it more intense and challenging, and only winners will get the chance to advance to the next round. It will be in 1v1 format, and players must choose a team from the approved list, which includes Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Borussia Dortmund, Internazionale Milano, AC Milan, and FC Barcelona. Not to mention, if a player picks any other club instead of the mentioned one, it will lead to his straight disqualification. To make the tournament fair and unpredictable, pairings would be decided randomly and without any advantage or disadvantage to players. 

Prize Pool Distribution

The eFootball™ Independence Day Cup features some exciting prizes for the top performers.  The top four players will receive cash prizes and some exclusive rewards as well, which have been mentioned below.

  • 1st Place: €400 in cash, a signed jersey, and all expenses paid M&G Pass, allowing the winner to meet and interact with celebrities associated with this campaign.
  • 2nd Place: €300 in prize money, a signed jersey, and an invitation-only VIP pass.
  • 3rd Place: €200 in prize money, a signed jersey, and an invitation-only VIP pass.
  • 4th Place: €100 in prize money, a signed jersey, and an invitation-only VIP pass.

Adding to the excitement, the entire campaign will be promoted by well-known personalities, including KL Rahul, Sunil Chhetri, Focused Indian, Ahan Shetty, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, bringing extra star power and visibility to the event. A mega Meet & Greet in Mumbai with the above mentioned celebrities will mark the wrap-up of the campaign in December.

How to Register for eFootball™ Independence Day Cup?

To register for the Independence Day Cup, players need to visit the official KONAMI eFootball™ India Discord server. Registrations open on 7th August 2025 and close on 21st August 2025. 

Once you join the Discord server, participants should follow the tournament instructions, fill out the registration form, and confirm their details. Joining the Discord is essential, as all match updates, schedules, and announcements will be shared there.
