Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed a new assistant coach. MS Dhoni’s training routine for IPL 2026 has been revealed. Also, we know now the auction date and venue. Lastly, we have a Rohit Sharma update.

MI 2 trades
MI is the only team to announce a trade so far. The 5-time champions brought Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur over from LSG for INR 2 crore. Later, MI announced that they have acquired West Indian finisher Sherfane Rutherford from GT for INR 2.60 crore. Both were cash deals.

Dhoni
MS Dhoni has been training 4.5 hours on a regular basis to prepare for the IPL 2026 season. For the last 2 months, the former CSK captain has been practicing at the JSCA International Stadium. Dhoni hits the gym first, then he bats in the net for 2 hours before ending his training with a swimming session.

Shami
SRH has been approached by two IPL franchises for a potential trade involving Mohammed Shami. Bought for INR 10 crore, the veteran pacer took 6 wickets in 9 matches. Despite poor form and injury issues, LSG and DC have shown interest in acquiring Shami prior to the IPL 2026 auction.
