Quinton de Kock told to register for IPL 2026 auction
BCCI has pruned the registered players list for the IPL 2026 auction from 1355 to 359. The highest base price, INR 2 crore, has been listed by 40 players. This includes the likes of Cameron Green and Venkatesh Iyer, among others. Rumours have it that Quinton de Kock wasn’t going to register himself, but was told by one of his former franchises to do so.

Rajasthan Royals ownership change?
Video game industry giant Krafton, creators of BGMI, has denied reports of acquiring a minority stake in IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. In an exclusive statement to InsideSport, Krafton labelled the reports as speculative. The South Korean company stated they are ‘committed to building deeper India-first gaming experiences, as has been our stated ambition.’

Shreyas Iyer injury update
Shreyas Iyer could very well be out of action for 4 months. Having suffered a spleen injury that saw him internally bleeding in his abdominal region, Shreyas’ progress moves in the right direction but slowly. He’s scheduled for an ultrasound scan in the second week of December and will check into the Centre of Excellence depending on the result.

Shubman Gill has opened up about his neck injury. The T20I vice-captain stated that he’d developed a disc bulge in his neck, which was hitting his nerve. Despite that and a spasm, Gill decided to play and strained his neck in the process. The injury sidelined him for 3 weeks, but now, Gill’s back.
