Minecraft Baby Mobs Update: New Hostile Baby Mob Designs and Trumpet Note Block

The latest Minecraft baby mobs update is bringing adorable chaos to both Java Snapshot and Bedrock Preview/Beta. Mojang has introduced redesigned hostile baby mobs, a brand-new trumpet note block, and fresh sound variants for farm animals. While the mobs may look cuter than ever, don’t be fooled, as they’re still just as dangerous.

New Hostile Minecraft Baby Mobs Update Details

The highlight of this update is the redesigned hostile baby mobs in Minecraft. These mobs now feature larger heads, updated proportions, and more expressive appearances, but their behavior remains unchanged. The updated baby mobs include:

  • Baby Zombie – Still extremely fast and deadly at close range.
  • Baby Husk – Desert-dwelling menace that can attack during the day.
  • Gurgle (Baby Drowned) – A high-speed underwater threat.
  • Baby Piglin – Passive but mischievous in the Nether.
  • Baby Zombified Piglin – Neutral unless provoked.
  • Baby Zombie Villager – Fast, hostile, and deceptively cute.
  • Baby Villager – A passive mob with new proportions, making villages feel more lively.

These visual upgrades align with recent updates to baby farm mobs and mounts, creating consistency across the game.

Trumpet Note Block: A New Minecraft Sound Feature

Another major addition in this Minecraft update 2026 snapshot is the Trumpet Note Block. Players can create it by placing a note block on top of a copper block.

As the copper oxidizes, the trumpet sound subtly changes. Players can wax the copper to preserve a specific tone. This feature adds new creative possibilities for redstone engineers and music builders looking to expand their in-game compositions.

New Animal Sound Variants in Minecraft

Farm life is getting an audio refresh with new sound variants for pigs, cows, cats, and chickens. Instead of identical noises, these animals now produce slightly different oinks, moos, meows, and clucks. This small but meaningful improvement makes farms feel more immersive and dynamic.

How to Test the Minecraft Baby Mob Update

Players can access these features by enabling Minecraft Java Edition snapshots or joining Minecraft Bedrock Preview/Beta. Simply activate snapshots in the Minecraft Launcher or enable experimental features in Bedrock settings.
