Sanju Samson played one of the greatest chasing knocks in India’s T20 World Cup history to set up a semifinal clash against England. Samson remained unbeaten on 97, guiding India in a 196-run chase against the West Indies. After the knock, Samson revealed that he had doubted himself after being dropped from the initial matches, but managed to overcome it.

IPL franchises may face challenges when it comes to foreign players travelling to India due to the closure of the Middle East airspace. Zimbabwe is stuck in India due to it. The England Lions, who were to play the Pakistan Shaheens, are stuck in the UAE. Bangladesh legend Mustafizur Rahman, who had travelled to Makkah (Saudi Arabia) for Umrah, is also stuck.

Alyssa Healy has gone off on a high. In her final innings in international cricket, the former Australia captain scored 158 off 98 balls, helping Australia win by 185 runs after posting 409 on the board. Healy’s husband, Mitchell Starc, was present for her farewell and was even commentating at the moment she scored her last hundred.

Matt Henry to return

New Zealand is hopeful that Matt Henry will return for the first semifinal against South Africa on March 4 in Kolkata. New Zealand’s head coach Rob Walter expects Henry to return on the eve of the match. But if, for whatever reason, Henry can’t, New Zealand is ready with backups.
