Bumrah playing with injury?

MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene has revealed that Jasprit Bumrah was carrying a niggle in the earlier games of the IPL 2026. Many were already sceptical about it, since Bumrah had spent a long time at the Centre of Excellence, and his speed was down. This also raises the question as to why Bumrah was allowed to play in the first place.

When MS will Dhoni play?

MS Dhoni will not feature in the SRH vs CSK match on April 18. Although he has travelled to Hyderabad, the CSK management won’t rush him back. Dhoni had sustained a half-injury in the pre-season practice and hadn’t travelled with the team for any matches, home or away, until the SRH game.

BCCI punishes RR manager

The BCCI Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) has placed a nominal fine on RR manager Romi Bhinder for breaching PMOA rules. Bhinder was seen using a phone in the player’s dugout, which RR claims he was using on medical grounds. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was glancing at his phone, hasn’t been punished.

Match fixing during T20 World Cup?

The ICC Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) is currently examining the New Zealand vs Canada match from the 2026 T20 World Cup. Canada captain Dilpreet Bajwa is the one who’s under investigation since he played a poor knock, misfielded, and delivered an untimely over. Questions over his appointment as captain have also been raised.

Green fires in Gujarat

After five underwhelming performances, Cameron Green finally came good. Batting at number four, he rescued KKR from 32/3 and took them to 180 with his 79 from 55. The next highest scorer for KKR was Rovman Powell with 27. Green didn’t bowl due to cramps, and KKR lost, but overall, it was a better outing for him and the team.

GT player out of IPL 2026

Gujarat Titans have announced Connor Esterhuizen as the injury replacement for Tom Banton. The Englishman has sustained a finger injury and can’t continue. Esterhuizen is a right-handed batter who made his international debut for South Africa in March against New Zealand and has scored 2 fifties in his last 2 matches.
