DRS, June 2: No victory parade for RCB, Tim David banned & Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s plan for ODIs
There won’t be any celebrations for RCB after winning the IPL 2026 trophy, as Rajat Patidar dedicated their victory to the victims of the Bengaluru stampede. After the final against GT, an RCB player has been handed a 1-match ban. Meanwhile, GT players were stuck in the middle of nowhere after their bus caught fire. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has a plan for ODI cricket, and the ICC has made several changes to the playing conditions.

No victory parade for RCB
In the aftermath of the fatal stampede during RCB’s celebrations after winning the IPL 2025 trophy, the franchise won’t hold another victory parade after successfully defending their title. Furthermore, DK Shivakumar will take the oath as Karnataka’s chief minister on June 3, an event that will draw a massive crowd around the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

IPL bans Tim David
Tim David has been handed a 1-match IPL ban after breaching the code of conduct. The RCB batter threw an ice bag in the direction of on-field umpire Nitin Menon during the final against GT after the third umpire overturned Jordan Cox’s catch from valid to invalid. This was the third Level 1 offence for David in IPL 2026.

GT players stranded
Dejected after losing the IPL 2026, GT players were forced to sit on the roadside while on their way back to the team hotel. A small fire broke out on the bus due to an electrical fault. The entire team was stranded on the roadside for nearly an hour before alternative arrangements were made. Luckily, no one got injured.
