Hardik Pandya’s Test comeback loading? All-rounder’s red-ball preparation in nets fuels Ranji buzz
It looks like India cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya has set his sights on making his return to red-ball cricket after staying away from it for quite some time. The former T20I skipper made his last Test and first-class appearance in 2018. Since then, Pandya has focused on white-ball cricket only, facing multiple hurdles over the last six years mainly in the form of injuries.
Hardik Pandya eyes comeback to red-ball cricket
Hardik Pandya took to social media platform Instagram to share a story of him bowling in the nets with the red-ball. If he is indeed preparing for his red-ball comeback, then it could happen in the Ranji Trophy which will begin later in October.

Hardik Pandya was left out of the Duleep Trophy squads announced by the BCCI earlier last month. He returned to action following his break after the IND vs SL T20I series and is currently gearing up for IND vs BAN T20Is that will happen after the Test series.
Hardik Pandya is a one-of-a-kind player who has the scarce ability to turn any game on its head, whether with his hard-hitting batting or hit-the-deck bowling. While his white-ball exploits are a surprise to none, his red-ball game has been on hold for six years now.
Ever since, injuries have put his red-ball career on hold. Playing only two formats, Pandya has also missed quite a few T20Is and ODIs due to his injuries. This has kept him away from Ranji Trophy matches as well
